Performance
All of the new Impreza models have 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines that generate up to 152 horsepower. Five-speed manual transmissions and all-wheel drive are also standard. AWD in a car of this size is unusual but appreciated, as the technology gives drivers better control of the vehicle regardless of road conditions. Some Silverdale owners might prefer a vehicle having a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Impreza Standard
The base models of the Impreza have 16-inch wheels and fabric upholstery. The infotainment system has a 6.5-inch touchscreen and a four-speaker stereo. Linking the system with a smartphone merely entails downloading the appropriate Android or Apple app. Front-seat occupants have access to a USB port to keep mobile devices charged around Bainbridge Island. There is also a rearview camera. All of the Impreza models also feature the rear-seat alert system that is designed to keep small children and pets safer. If the vehicle has the CVT, the Impreza also features forward collision and automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and lane-keeping assistance, along with adaptive cruise control.
The sedans have 12.3 cubic feet of space in the trunk, which may be increased by folding the 60/40 rear seats. On the other hand, the hatchbacks have 20.3 cubic feet of space in the rear, which enlarged to 55.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The next trim level up automatically has a CVT transmission. The trim level adds fog lights for greater nighttime visibility around the Port Orchard area. The front seats are heated for year-round comfort. The infotainment system gains satellite radio and a six-speaker stereo. Two USB ports keep mobile devices powered for use. New owners have the option of adding a powered moonroof, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and keyless entry. Rear-seat passengers get two USB ports in addition to the two ports in the front.

The interior upholstery is leather-trimmed. Passengers enjoy the comfort provided by the automatic climate control system. The Limited also comes standard with several additional safety features that include blind-spot monitoring, reverse automatic emergency braking, lane changing assistance, and rear cross-traffic warnings.
