Engine and Transmission Options

There are two engine options offered throughout the new Outback lineup. All models are designed to make driving engaging and enjoyable, so you'll have fun on every trip around Bainbridge Island.

The first engine option is a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer that produces 182-horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque, all while achieving over 30 mpg on the highway. If you want a sportier performance, choose the available 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged Boxer engine that produces 260-horsepower and 277 pounds-feet of torque.

Both engines are paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission that delivers a smooth driving experience while also keeping fuel economy as high as possible. All models also come with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters so you can enjoy simulated control of shifting to have it feel like a manual transmission.

Every Outback model comes equipped with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, providing you with optimal traction and control on any surface so you can take on rain, snow, ice, mud, sand, and everything else that stands between you and your next destination.

Design

The new Subaru Outback lineup offers a uniquely rugged appeal, featuring body cladding around the wheels, raised roof rails, and LED steering responsive lights so you can always see where you're going, even around corners. Inside, there's spacious seating for five passengers within 105.5 cubic feet of passenger volume, plus an extra 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space for all your storage needs. You can also fold down the rear seat and utilize up to 75.7 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. Cloth upholstery comes standard, but you'll have multiple kinds of leather upholstery to choose from throughout the lineup.

Technology and Safety Features

Starlink Multimedia System

Every Outback model comes equipped with a Starlink multimedia system. It comes on a 7-inch touchscreen display on the base model, and a vertical 11.6-inch touchscreen display on all other models. Every Starlink system comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth compatibility built-in, allowing you to sync your smartphone and enjoy handsfree control of it on any outing around the Kitsap Peninsula.

Eyesight Driver Assist Technology System

All Outback models also come with a suite of safety features through the standard Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system. Enjoy helpful driving aids like pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. On higher trim levels, you can also enjoy the help of blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and much more.
