Lately it may seem that the only sporty Subaru model we can talk about is the 2015 WRX. However, the Japanese automaker recently released some exciting information about another flashy model that will soon be joining the new Subaru and has us feeling anything but blue. It’s a special edition of the two-door BRZ called the 2015 Blue.Series and only 1,000 units will come stateside in July.
The Blue.Series BRZ provides drivers with the option for two exterior colors, one of which is unsurprisingly WR Blue Pearl and the other is Crystal White Pearl. All models are equipped with a 2.-liter, four-cylinder Subaru BOXER engine, which is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and generates 200 horsepower alongside of 151 lb.-ft. of torque. Also included are new front and rear spoilers with ride sills and underbody panels which provides and increased front downforce and reduced drag coefficient.
The interior of this model also sports some upgrades and tweaks in the form of a black and blue color scheme that translates on the leather seats, steering wheel and parking brake.
This limited edition BRZ can be yours for $30,285 and will arrive at the same time as the 2015 BRZ.
