While the 2015 Legacy sedan won't be joining the new Subaru lineup in our Bremerton, WA showroom for a couple months, we thought now was the perfect time to take a look back on the last quarter century of the Legacy's history and some of the model's legendary achievements. To our delight, we are even treated to a glimpse of the 2015 Legacy's unveiling, which occurred at the Chicago Auto Show just a few months ago. The six-generation Legacy will provide drivers with the option between a 175 horsepower 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine that produces or a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that churns out 256 horsepower while attaining up to 28 mpg on the highway.
Safety remains a priority of the Subaru brand as the 2015 Legacy will feature security measures such as a comprehensive airbag system, Blind-Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and more. It is features like this which have earned multiple models in the Subaru lineup the honor of calling themselves IIHS Top Safety Picks.
