Subaru's Earth Recycling Program Efforts
Klean Kanteen
Subaru and Klean Kanteen have a brand partnership that supports Subaru's Zero-Landfill Initiative for landfill waste reduction. Klean Kanteen has a reusable product line that Subaru presents at their events to educate consumers on the impact of single-use products.
Leave No Trace
Subaru's customers and drivers in the Bainbridge Island area love the outdoors, and for more than 20 years, "Leave No Trace" reached millions of consumers at thousands of events throughout the United States. Subaru partnered with "Leave No Trace" to assist in educating consumers and offer vehicles to support the mission of "Leave No Trace" for outdoor enthusiasts to responsibly enjoy the outdoors.
National Park Foundation- Zero-Landfill initiative
All Subaru products are manufactured in zero-landfill production plants. Since 2013, Subaru invested over $20 million to the National Park Foundation. And as a result, the funding has been used to recycle operations, to reduce waste, for public education, to compost, for visitor outreach, and vehicle donations. Subaru also sponsors the "Find Your Park" initiative.
TerraCycle: Zero-Waste Box program
When it comes to partnering with TerraCycle, hard-to-recycle waste is collected throughout the year. The average amount collected monthly is two tons of waste from landfills throughout the nation. The collected waste is recycled into usable items, such as park benches, flower pots, and bike racks.
Other Efforts for Communities
Subaru is also active in other ways to help communities throughout the US. These efforts range from tons of e-waste, avoiding the landfill to the rebuilding of parks and communities.
