The New York Auto Show may have come to a close in the Big Apple, but were here at Peninsula Subaru are still reeling from all that our preferred Japanese automaker had to share with us during the big event. We already shared the exclusive details concerning the new 2015 Outback, and now we have a look into the vehicle that the Subaru brand will enter into this year's Global RallyCross Championship.

If you haven't already guessed which model has received this honor, we'll tell you that it's no other than the 2015 WRX STI, which has been tweaked by the Subaru Rally Team USA. Check out its construction in the video clip below, which is the first installment of the brand's second season of their Launch Control web series.

As you can see, the revamped WRX STI features a custom widebody complete with a carbon-fiber rear spoilers, roof scoops and mirrors for boosted aerodynamics. In terms of power, the rallycar features a SUBARU BOXER® engine that possesses the ability to churn out over 600 horsepower.
